Earlier, we have reported that Lingusamy's Vettai, which has Madhavan, Arya, Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles, will be remade in Hindi soon. In this film, Madhavan will play the role of a lazy cop. The actor has reportedly put on weight and developed a paunch to suit the character perfectly. Now the latest buzz is that director Lingusamy is planning to remake the film in Hindi with Madhavan and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. However an official confirmation is awaited.
Vettai is produced by Subhash Chandrabose and Lingusamy under their home banner Thirupathi Brothers. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer and Yuvan takes care of the music department. According to sources, the characterization of Maddy and his equation with his brother will be the major highlights of Vettai.
